Friends!
Friends of Armenian Arts provide a unique
service for our community.
For the first time in the Diaspora’s history,
Tbilisi’s Petros Adamyan State Armenian Dramatic
Theatre is invited to the United States and
Canada.
Upon starting this expensive and complicated
endeavor, we first thought of our responsibility
to keep the Armenian nation and culture alive,
flourishing, and reaffirming our right to exist.
The theatre is now 152 years old, the oldest
active theatre in the Caucasus. It is the only
state Armenian theatre outside Armenia, while
also an important center that contributes to the
development and gives a wide exposure to
Armenian culture. Gabriel Sundukyan, Petros
Adamyan, Siranush and many other famous Armenian
artists have their names connected to the
theatre.
We ask that you and all Armenians honor and
support with your presence the theatre’s company
on its 153rd anniversary.
We also encourage Armenian patrons and
benefactors to unite and help us lighten the
financial burden of these events.
