The Tbilisi Petros Adamyan State Armenian Dramatic Theatre is 152 years old today. It was established in 1856 and the actor company consists of 3 generations of very talented performers. Among the invited group of 22 there are people's artists, honored artists and artists who have received honorary medals of Georgia. Today the theatre has more than 30 plays on its list of performances, and employs 111 actors, among them 55 professionals, four professional directors, and a permanent staff numbering close to 100. The Theatre adds on 5-6 new performances to its repertoire and conducts close to 100 performances each year. The Theatre has toured several countries in the past and this would be its first visit to United States and Canada.
